A courier service picks up an item from one location and delivers it to another. For a business, that might mean getting a replacement part to a technician, moving documents between offices, or delivering a package to a customer.
At Delivery On Demand, our Orlando-based team handles courier and freight requests across Florida. The right service depends on what you are sending, where it needs to go, and when it must arrive.
How does a courier delivery work?
- Share your shipment details. Provide the pickup and delivery locations, preferred pickup date, item description, size, weight, and deadline.
- Confirm the service. We review the request and confirm availability, timing, and the total rate before booking.
- Prepare for pickup. Have the shipment packaged and ready, with accurate contact details and any access instructions.
- Coordinate delivery. Make sure the receiving contact is available and tell us about any appointment or building restrictions.
A quote request does not automatically reserve a vehicle. No account registration is required to request a quote through our website.
Same-day, urgent, and scheduled deliveries
Same-day delivery means pickup and delivery on the same day when confirmed. An urgent request has a time-sensitive deadline; tell us the latest acceptable arrival time so we can assess the route and availability. Scheduled deliveries are arranged in advance for a preferred date or pickup window.
For recurring or multi-stop work, include the frequency, number of stops, and expected shipment volume in your request.
What can you send?
Common courier requests include documents, packages, auto parts, and other smaller business shipments. Describe the contents and any special handling needs before booking so we can confirm whether the shipment is suitable.
Courier or LTL freight?
Use our courier page for smaller shipments. For pallets, commercial cargo, or partial truckloads, start with LTL freight. Include dimensions and weight, plus whether a dock, forklift, or liftgate will be needed.
What affects the quote?
Pickup and delivery locations, shipment size and weight, timing, number of stops, and handling requirements help determine the appropriate service and rate. Share access restrictions and loading or unloading arrangements with the initial request.
